Please join us for a conversation between filmmaker Leandro Listorti and Harvard Film Archive collections archivist Amy Sloper. Listorti will discuss his most recent film, Herbaria which, through the use of both archival and current footage, explores parallel worlds of cinema and plants. Herbaria will screen the previous night, September 19 at 7:00pm at the Harvard Film Archive.

Leandro Listorti is an Argentinian filmmaker, programmer, and archivist. From 2005 to 2015, he worked as a programmer at BAFICI and is a founding member of ARCA (Archivo Regional de Cine Amateur) and a co-founder of the production company Maravillacine. He currently manages the film archive at the Museo del Cine in Buenos Aires, from which he culled pieces of unfinished films to compose his previous work, The Endless Film (2018), a film fashioned out of the culture of disappearance in Argentina and its effect on film history. His latest film, Herbaria (2022), has screened at numerous festivals and won awards at Visions du Réel, Pesaro International Festival of New Cinema, and New Horizons International Film Festival.

Open to FSC fellows, CMP students, and the AFVS community.
