Sam Witherow, based in Massachusetts, works primarily in film, photography, installation, and performance. With a background in narrative filmmaking and a penchant for the experimental, her work focuses on giving voice to and dissecting narratives of grief, anger, and healing. She received her BS from Fitchburg State University in Communications Media, Film and Video and her MFA in Film from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Through the support of the FSC, she is currently working on Silver Like Dust, a 16mm exploration of religion, trauma, and material filmmaking.
