Rosa Prosser
FSC-Harvard Fellow 2026-27
Rosa Prosser is a Cumbrian artist, filmmaker and researcher pursuing a PhD in Film and Visual Studies at Harvard. Her creative and research practice explores the entanglements of place, weather, history and fiction through an elemental lens – taking the wind as material, medium, metaphor, mediator, and a wind(ow) through which to gaze.

In the unscripted language of Mehri – spoken in Dhofar, western Oman – there are 47 words for the wind; “to translate these words is to be carried across”. The Language of Wind explores the translations (conversions; transformations; adaptations) between wind, language (poetry) and image through the collective documentation of the wind.
