Film still from Birgunj

Birgunj

Kristen Zipperer

This film is an impressionistic portrait of everyday life in Birgunj, a border city in southern Nepal, as it navigates cultural and political change. Intimate, interior scenes are intermixed with exterior shots of the urban environment to offer an ineffable experience of a place that is often stereotyped and misunderstood.
