Clara Aranovich

FSC Associated Fellow 2025-26
Clara Aranovich is a first generation Argentine-Chilean filmmaker and playwright based in Los Angeles and Cambridge, MA. Her original work has screened at SXSW, Tribeca, Fantasia, the Hammer Museum, Stockholm, Uppsala, among others. She holds a BA in Literature and Creative Writing from Dartmouth College and an MFA in Film Production from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. She is a founding Artistic Director of Public Assembly, a 501(c)3 non-profit theater and playwriting development program in Los Angeles and an alumna of the Sundance Screenwriting Intensive.

The Carpenter
Clara Aranovich
A nonfiction exploration of the symphonic infrastructure of large-scale commercial construction machinery and its operators. The project traces the embodied relationship between human and machine—both spatial and figurative—where culture, class mobility, and process converge in quiet acts of code-switching and agency.
