Please join us for a workshop with McMillan-Stewart fellow, Jean-Pierre Bekolo. In this workshop, we critically reassess traditional cinematic practices against the backdrop of technological advancements and the rise of AI. Why should cinema adhere to conventional boundaries when technology and AI have transformed its production, consumption, and the world itself? The workshop prompts a reevaluation of cinema’s role in the face of profound changes and urges participants to question established approaches. Just as the world undergoes shifts in perception and relationship dynamics, the workshop challenges participants to reconsider how cinema engages with the world, especially concerning life, death, and the quest for immortality.
