The FSC Nonfiction Workshop presents Paula Gaitán

We are pleased to welcome visual artist, photographer, poet, and filmmaker Paula Gaitán to the Film Study Center.
Paula Gaitán was born in Paris in 1954 and received a Visual Arts degree from the University of Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. Paula’s work combines a deeply personal artistic vision with palpable reality. Her filmography consists of nine feature length films. In 2016, the Cinematheque of Museum of Modern Art (MAM – Rio de Janeiro) presented a retrospective of her work , and Mostra Tiradentes, also in Brazil, presented a homage to her work in the 2021 edition. She currently lives and works in the city of São Paulo, Brazil.
